Why Leave 10%
There are $1.2 billion reasons to leave 10% of your estate to charity.
A recent Kitsap Transfer of Wealth StudyTM, published in 2018, indicated that our residents have a household net worth of $93.6 billion. It is estimated that $12 billion will be transferred between generations in the next 10 years, yet many people don’t have plans to leave a gift to charity in their wills.
Imagine if just 10% of $12 billion – or $1.2 billion – was left to local charities.
Funding of this magnitude could address Kitsap’s needs for affordable housing, mental health services, education and many other charitable causes.
