If more South Sound residents include gifts to charity in our estate plans, the landscape of social causes in our region will be positively transformed forever. In addition, our charitable legacies will also inspire humanitarian values and behaviors in other individuals, families and communities.

- Participating! Everyone can participate in Leave 10. You don’t have to be rich or have an elaborate estate plan. Just make a meaningful gift commitment to your favorite charity. It’s about investing in your community to the best of your ability.
- Investing in the vibrancy and health of your community by being a member of a regional coalition of nonprofits, allied professionals and community partners and individuals dedicated to raising awareness of the impact legacy giving can make in our communities
- Committing to leaving a charitable gift in your estate plan by taking the Leave 10 Champion pledge.
- Sharing, if you’re willing, a story or testimonial on what Leave 10 means to you.
- Inspiring others to become Champions by your example. We encourage you to be a Leave 10 South Sound ambassador by talking about your involvement with others.

What do I do next?
- Sign a Leave 10 Individual Champion pledge form.
- Find an Advisor.
- Find a Nonprofit.
- Update your will and make a bequest or beneficiary designation to support your favorite charity or charities, and inform the nonprofits you intend to support.
- Be a Champion! Tell others about your support of Leave 10 South Sound and encourage them to become Champions, too. Here are some talking points you can use for your conversations.

- See if your favorite charity is a part of Leave 10. Here is a list of nonprofits who have taken the pledge.
- Search Guidestar by Candid, Charity Navigator or the IRS Charities websites to learn more about local nonprofits.
- Contact the Association of Fundraising Professionals South Sound Chapter or South Sound Planned Giving Council mentors to discuss your ideas.
